San Tan Valley, Ariz.March4, 2010 – Shaun P. Babeu announced today that he has filed the necessary paperwork to run for Justice of the Peace in the Apache Junction Precinct.
Shaun Babeu is a COIV, or Captain at the Department of Corrections Florence Prison Complex. Shaun Babeu is 39 years old, married to his wife Brandy for 5 years and have two small children. Shaun and Brandy raise their children in the fast growing Johnson Ranch area of northern Pinal County. Shaun Babeu is a life long registered Republican and is the younger brother to Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. Sheriff Babeu made history becoming the first Republican ever elected to county-wide office in a landslide election. Shaun Babeu has served six (6) years in the Army National Guard and was elected to three terms as a city councilmember in his hometown of North Adams, Massachusetts. Babeu graduated from the Correctional Officer Training Academy in Tucson, Arizona. Babeu’s civilian education includes Bachelor’s Degree in History/Political Science and is one class away from earning his Master of Public Administration degree. Babeu said, “Given the opportunity to serve as Justice of Peace, I will always be fair and consistent with everyone. Much has changed in our fast growing community. The Justice Court is the People’s Court, where citizens can represent themselves without a lawyer and at the same time not compromise their legal standing. I’m excited about the opportunity to serve and to improve service to our citizens.” |
