Tuesday, 27 July 2010
Pinal County, AZ--During her fifteen-year career, Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Communications Supervisor Angelique Graham has handled hundreds of thousands of requests for help from the citizens and visitors of Pinal County.

She has been the voice on the other end of the 9-1-1 calls for help, questions about processes, and guidance during worry.

Ms. Graham has handled radio traffic and requests from Pinal County deputies and other Pinal County municipal agencies; anything from the routine traffic stop to the fatal shooting of Deputy Jason Lopez on May 4, 2001, for which Ms. Graham was the primary dispatcher.

Earlier this year, Ms. Graham chose to further her career and her love for the Sheriff’s Office by successfully testing for the promotional position of Public Safety Communications Supervisor. Ms. Graham was selected from a list of qualified candidates and became one in the eight-member Communications Supervisory Team a few weeks later.

Pinal County Sheriff's Office Communications Manager Jennifer Foster stated, “Ms. Graham is celebrated and recognized as a talented dispatcher and peer leader; there is no doubt in my mind she will continue to develop those inherent skills and abilities into an equally well-performing supervisor, over the next several years of her career.”

Ms. Graham was also nominated for Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Civilian Employee of the Year, it is for that reason and for her daily performance, Ms. Graham is being sent to Houston next week to represent the Sheriff’s Office Communications Division at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials Annual Conference.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division is a 24/7 center which answers over half a million 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency administrative calls for the Sheriff’s Office, the City of Maricopa Police Department per year, as well as assisting our partnering municipal agencies within Pinal County
